Curriculum
Maryville’s online Bachelor of Arts in History comprises 128 credit hours and includes coursework in general education, general elective requirements, and the history major. Learn to take a critical approach to information through courses in world history, foreign policy, American government, and your choice from a wide range of multicultural studies.

Choose 5 additional history courses covering various themes as identified in the catalog.

Admission requirements
Online Bachelor of Arts in Communication
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum GPA for freshman applicants: 2.5 on a 4.0 scale*
- Minimum GPA for college or university transfer applicants: 2.0 on a 4.0 scale*
- Official transcripts from all colleges or universities previously attended
Transfer credit policy
- Official high school transcript (required for applicants with fewer than 60 transfer hours from a regionally accredited school)
- Eligible transfer credits accepted; associate degree completion may satisfy general education requirements
- No standardized tests required
*Applicants who do not meet the GPA requirement may be considered for provisional admission.
